Abstract:

It is seen that Sala mentality appeared in course of time under the different names and had an in uence on the life of Muslims. These movements with Sala elements, no matter they are old and new ones, are the movements that aims to return to a certain period of history and abide by the religious understanding and practices of that period that emerges as the main character of Sala sm. Thus, every thought or movement that bears the Sala traces is, in fact, a fanatic or a traditionalist thought or movement. It is clear that the backwardness nearly in all elds, war, violence, savagery etc. seen in the geographies where Muslims live in are related to this mentality. Today, the developments makes the matter even more important. In this article, we will try to explain the main character of Sala perception and put the factors that play an effec- tive role in the formation of this mentality.
