Bu araştırmada, Burdur ilinde faaliyet gösteren ve yakın gelecekte turizm kapsamında değerlendirilmesi planlanan Lisinia Doğa isimli merkezin ekoturizm potansiyelinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma örnek olay incelemesi şeklinde yürütülmüş, incelenen olguya ilişkin detaylı betimlemeler yapabilmek üzere doküman taraması, gözlem ve görüşmeye başvurulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle Lisinia Doğa’nın işleyişi ve bünyesinde yürütülen projelerin detayları yorumlanarak merkezin ekoturizm potansiyeli değerlendirilmiştir. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre Lisinia Doğa, ziyaretçilerine; organik tarım faaliyetlerine katılma, ücretsiz konaklama yapabilme, doğa projelerinde aktif yer alma, hayvan bakımına yardımcı olma gibi faaliyetler sunmaktadır. Bunun yanında merkezin fiziksel konumu, sunduğu imkânlar, yerel halk-ziyaretçi etkileşimi ve merkez yönetiminin ekoturizm bilinci dikkate alındığında, Lisinia Doğa’nın ekoturizm ve ekoturist kavramlarıyla ilişkilendirilmesinin mümkün olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, Lisinia Doğa’nın alternatif bir ekoturizm merkezi olma hususunda yüksek potansiyele sahip olduğu düşünülmektedir.
In this research, evaluating the ecotourism potential of a nature center named Lisinia Nature, which is located in Burdur (Turkey) and is planned to be benefitted in the context of tourism in the near future, has been aimed. The research has been conducted as a case study. In order to present the research phenomenon in details; document analysis, observation and interview have been applied. With reference to the findings, Lisinia Nature’s operation and details of its projects have been interpreted and the ecotourism potential of the center has been evaluated. According to the results achieved in this study, Lisinia Nature offers organic farming, free accommodation, activities such as participating in nature projects and animal care to its visitors. Besides, when the location of the center, facilities, local community-visitor interaction and the management’s awareness of ecotourism is considered, it is understood that associating the terms like ecotourism and ecotourist with Lisinia Nature is doable. Eventually, it is believed that Lisina Nature has a high potential of becoming an alternative ecotourism center.
