Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to identify the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety and religious life in the context of mental health. The study used the scale of religious tendencies developed by Allport and Ross, the scale of self-esteem developed by Eysenk and Wilson, and the scale of continuous concern developed by Recommendation and LeComte. According to the results obtained, no meaningful relationship between internal and externally-driven religion and self-respect and concern has been established (p>.05). The levels of respect for the religion of the young people, the behavior of prayer, fasting and prayer did not differentiate the levels of self-esteem (p>.05). But the subjective perceptions of religiousness and the subjective levels of religious knowledge have made significant differences in this regard (p.05).
