Bir kitap üzerine değerlendirme yazısı yazmak dikkat ve emek isteyen bir iştir. Bu tür yazılarda yazarın kitabı yazma amacını ve kitabın literatüre ne kazandırdığını belirtmek gereklidir. Bunun için de incelenen kitap iyice okunup özümsenmelidir. Değerlendirmesini yapacağımız “Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda Rusya’nın Rolü” isimli kitap, I. Dünya Savaşı’nın çıkışına ya da nedenlerine ait klişeleşmiş anlatımların ötesinde yeni bir iddia ortaya atmaktadır. Bu iddia, savaşın bütün sorumluluğunu Almanya’ya yükleyen görüşün aksine I. Dünya Savaşı’nın çıkmasında Rusya’nın etkilerini ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Burada yazarın amacı, savaşın sorumluluğu konusunda Almanya’yı aklamak değildir. Bu savaşın patlak vermesindeaz Almanya kadar sorumlu olan Rusya gibi diğer ülkelerin de etkilerini ortaya çıkarmaktır.
Writing a review on a book is a task that requires attention and effort. In such writings it is necessary to indicate the author's purpose of writing the book and what the book has earned to literature. The book must be read and read well. The book "The Role of Russia in the First World War" which we will evaluate reveals a new claim beyond the clashed stories about the outcome or causes of the First World War. This claim, contrary to the view that all the responsibility of the war is placed on Germany, highlights the influences of Russia in the first world war. Here the author's goal is not to understand Germany about the responsibility of the war. This war explodes and it is to reveal the influences of other countries, like Russia, which are responsible as much as Germany.
