Abstract:

Lotus sp. görünümü, rengi ile ilgi çekici bir çiçektir. Peyzaj tasarım uygulamalarında kullanıldığında mekanda çok güzel bir görünüm sağlar. İlk çağ Mısır uygarlığında Firavun saraylarında, sütün başlarında uygulanırdı, bu sütün başlarına da Lotiforn denilirdi. Çalışmada Lotus çiçeğinin geçmişten günümüze farklı kültürlerdeki yeri incelenerek, Lotus’sun özellikleri ortaya konulacaktır. Peyzaj tasarımında kullanımı ile ilgili bilgiler verilecek ve öneriler getirilecektir.
