Abstract:

In this article, upon standing briefly on the concept of Sahâbe and the degrees of Sahâbe, the function of Sahâbe during the formation of Islam will be mentioned. This will be examined in two parts which are in terms of Quran and Hadith. All the Sahâbes do not hold the same degrees. A Sahâbe who lived close to the Prophet (pbuh) and learned some of the principles of Islam directly from Him (pbuh) has been chosen as an example in this study, not a Sahâbe who saw the Prophet once in his lifetime. As Safvân b. Muattal has these qualifications, the subject will be studied through his example.
