Abstract:

Furniture industry is an important sector in order to meet the human needs of domestic and foreign production of forest products to ensure that the necessary furniture. Considering the developments in wood products and furniture production in recent years, the necessity of people who have sufficient knowledge and experience and had training in the sector of furniture and decoration is important. Furniture and Decoration Program is a program aiming to train quailified technical staff that it needs in the process of design and production of furniture sector. Today, furniture and decoration programs are opened as different programs which their content is enriched. In this study, Furniture and Decoration Programs’ current status, alternatively opened programs, program quotas, faculty structure in Vocational schools of universities in Düzce, Bolu, Zonguldak, Bartın, Karabuk, Kastamonu and Sinop located in West Blacksea part, have been put forward comparatively.
