Bu araştırmanın amacı bilişsel davranışçı yaklaşıma dayalı grupla psikolojik danışmanın öğrencilerin sınav kaygısı düzeylerini azaltmada etkili olup olmadığını incelemektir. Araştırmada ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma İstanbul ilinde bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören öğrenciler üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştımanın deney grubu ve kontrol grubu, araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul eden öğrenciler içerisinden yansız atamayla seçilen 15’er öğrenci ile oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak Friedben Sınav Kaygısı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. 15 kişilik deney grubuna yaklaşık 90 dakika süren sekiz oturumluk bilişsel davranışçı yaklaşıma dayalı grupla psikolojik danışma uygulanırken; kontrol grubunda ise herhangi bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun sınav kaygısı ölçeği ön testlerinden ve son testlerinden almış oldukları puanların anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek üzere non-parametrik Mann Whitney-U testi yapılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun sınav kaygısı son test puanlarının ön test puanlarına göre anlamlı bir şekilde azalıp azalmadığını belirlemek için non-parametrik Wilcoxon İşaretlenmiş Mertebeler Testi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda bilişsel davranışçı yaklaşıma dayalı grupla psikolojik danışma yaklaşımının, öğrencilerin sınav kaygısını düşürmede etkili olduğu bulunmuştur.
The aim of this study is to study whether psychological consulting with a group based on cognitive behavioral approach is effective in reducing students’ exam anxiety levels. The study used a experimental pattern with the pre-test-final test control group. The study was conducted on students studying at a secondary school in Istanbul. The research experimental group and control group were formed with 15 students selected by reflectless nomination from the students who agreed to participate voluntarily in the research. The Friedben Exam Anxiety Scale is used as a data collection tool. Eight sessions of approximately 90 minutes were conducted to a 15-person experimental group with cognitive behavioral approach-based psychological consultation, while no study was conducted in the control group. The test and control group’s test concern scale was made in a non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test to determine whether the scores they received from the pre-test and the final test differed significantly. The test concern of the test and control group has been performed in the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Screenshots Test to determine whether the final test scores are significantly reduced or not compared to the previous test scores. The research has found that a group-based cognitive behavioral approach of psychological consultation has been effective in reducing students’ exam anxiety.
