Abstract:

In new FATF recommendations published in 2012, the standards for both money laundering and terrorist financing have been designed within “40 Recommendations” and it has not been regarded necessary to establish separate special recommendations for terrorist financing, which is different from the previous style of the FATF Recommendations. The new recommendations which give particular importance to risk based approach in terms of the measures introduced have been treated in respects of main topics within the scope of legal issues, obligations, operational and international relations, and the sub-topics related to the main topics have been explained in detail.
