Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to study the psychometric characteristics of the scale by adapting the Short Azim Scale to the Turkish. The study group consists of 186 university students who continue their university studies in Kütahya and the Pair Islands. 108 of the participants were women and 78 men, but their ages varied from 18 to 27 and their average age was 21.3. Similar scale validity studies have used the motivational determination scale. The language equality study found the relationship between the English and Turkish forms r=.89 (p=.00). The KMO sample conformity ratio is .83 and the Bartlett Sphericity test result is χ2 = 503,877 (p<.001, sd=24). As a result of the verifying factor analysis, the matters of the 8 matters 2 dimensional model are the conformity index values (χ2 /sd=2.06, p=.00011, RMSEA= . 046, CFI=.95, GFI=.94, AGFI=.93, SRMR=.047) and the substance factor burden was classified between .42 and .77. A similar scale validity study found a relationship between the Motivational Stability Scale and the Short Stability Scale with the r=.68 p<.01 level of importance. Cronbach alpha internal consistency reliability ratio is calculated as .83, for the whole scale, the consistency of interest is calculated as .80 for the sub-dimension, and the sub-dimension is calculated as .71 for the sub-dimension. The test re-test reliability ratio was calculated as .69 and the corrected substance's total correlation ratio was ranked between .33 and .65. As a result, it can be said that the short determination measurement is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can assess the level of determination, determination, persistence and commitment in individuals.
