Birinci Dünya Savaşı, insanlık tarihi boyunca can ve mal kaybına neden olan büyük savaşlardan biridir. Bu savaş, ağırlıklı olarak Avrupa kıtasında gerçekleşmiştir. Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda, “topyekûn savaş” kavramı ilk defa ortaya çıkmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti, bir dizi gelişmeler sonucu Almanya’ nın yanında olarak Birinci Dünya Savaşı’ nın içinde kendini buldu. Bunun neticesinde Irak, Suriye ve Filistin, Kafkasya ve Çanakkale cephelerinde düşman devletlere karşı büyük bir savaş içine girdi. Osmanlı Devleti’ nin ekonomik bir sıkıntıda olduğu bir dönemde gerçekleşen cephe savaşları toplum içinde de büyük bir dayanışmayı ortaya çıkardı. Osmanlı Hilâl- i Ahmer Cemiyeti birtakım sanatsal faaliyetler düzenleyerek maddi ve manevi destek temin etmek suretiyle Osmanlı ordusuna katkı sağladı. Bu sanatsal faaliyetler içinde azınlık okullarını da görmekteyiz. Bu çalışmamızda sanatsal faaliyetler değerlendirilerek sağlanan maddî ve manevî destek incelenecektir
The First World War was one of the great wars that led to the loss of lives and goods throughout human history. This war took place mainly in the European continent. In the First World War, the concept of "topyekûn war" appeared for the first time. The Ottoman State found itself in the First World War as a result of a series of developments alongside Germany. As a result, Iraq, Syria and Palestine entered into a large war against the enemy states on the fronts of the Caucasus and the Chanakkale. The front wars that took place in a period in which the Ottoman State was in economic trouble showed a great solidarity within the society. The Ottoman Hilâl-i Ahmer Society organized a number of artistic activities and contributed to the Ottoman army by providing material and spiritual support. We also see minority schools in these art activities. In this work we will study the material and spiritual support provided by assessing the artistic activities.
