Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the environmental ethics awareness of scientists and class teacher candidates. In the study, the environmental ethics awareness of the teacher candidates was studied by gender, class level and section variable. The sample of the study is made up of 100 teachers candidates who are studying in the 1st and 4th classes of the Faculty of Science and Class Teaching of a state university in the 2017-2018 academic year. The research, science and class teacher candidates aimed at determining their ethical awareness of the environment, the scanning model from quantitative research methods has been used. The research data was collected using the "Environmental Ethics Awareness Scale" developed by Özer and Keleş (2016) and the data was statistically analyzed in a computer environment. Research findings have found that sciences and class teacher candidates have a significant difference in environmental ethics awareness according to gender and class level. Sciences and Class Teacher candidates found that the part they studied in environmental ethics awareness did not show a significant difference.
