Abstract:

The primary purpose of the study is to study the mental resistance of combat athletes who are trained at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The secondary goal of the study is to study whether variables such as age, sports age, gender and sports industry affect the mental resilience of athletes. Based on the principle of voluntary participation, research is limited to combat athletes who are trained at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The research was carried out using the imaging scan model to determine the levels of athletes' mental resilience. The universe of this research has been formed by combat athletes who are trained at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The sample of the study was made by a total of 398 athletes, including 163 women and 235 men, who were selected using the random sample method. The data collection tool used in the research consists of two separate sections. Personal information prepared by the researchers in the first part; in the second part Sheard and the other. Developed in 2009 with the aim of determining the levels of mental endurance of athletes and adapted to Turkey by Altıntaş (2017) has been used in sports mental endurance inventory. SPSS 25 has been analyzed through the SPSS 25 package program for identifying statistics. The obtained data was normally tested and in the analysis of the data, visual statistics, correlation, Tukey Anova and independent sampling t-test were applied. The study found a significant difference in terms of gender, age and sports age variables, but no difference in terms of monthly income status variables. When the branch variable is studied, there is only a difference in the control sub-dimensions between the judo and kick box branches.
