Osmanlı ve İran dünyasında meşruiyeti için kıyasıya rekabet edilen Timur, 15. ve 16. yüzyıllarda her iki dünyada da çok farklı imajlarla tanındı. Güçlü mirası ve yenilmezliği Timur’u her iki dünyadaki mevcut imajının ötesinde üstünlük gibi bir başka tartışmanın daha temel figürü yaptı. Timur, kendisinden sonra Acem dünyasının temsilcilerinin Rumî dünyayla olan rekabetlerinde meşruiyetine sığınılan bir merci, güçlerin rakiplerinkiyle karşılaştırılmasında temel alınan bir kıstas olmaya devam etti. Bu makale kendilerini Timur’un mirasçıları olarak takdim eden Akkoyunluların, rakipleri Osmanlılara karşı üstün oldukları iddiasını Timur üzerinden dile getirme çabalarını ve bunun yankılarını konu edinir.
The East, which was competing for its legitimacy in the Ottoman and Iranian world, was known in the 15th and 16th centuries with very different images in both worlds. Its strong heritage and inalienability made the East a more fundamental figure of another debate such as superiority beyond the present image in both worlds. The East, after him, a mercy to the legitimacy of the representatives of the Acem world in the competition with the Romanian world, continued to be a curtain based on the comparison of the powers with the rivals. This article is about the attempts of the Akkoyunists who present themselves as the heirs of the East to express their claim that they are superior to the Ottoman rivals over the East and their ancestors.
