Abstract:

The aim of the study is to show the attitudes and behaviors of the teachers candidates towards the conservation of energy with the help of the scale we have adapted to energy literature and to investigate the relationships between gender, section they read, family income level variables with them. The sample of this study, which is used by the relational scan model, is made up of 378 (127 men, 251 girls) teachers candidates who continue to study in the bachelor's degree. In the study as a data collection tool adapted to Turkey and reliability of 0.76 of the 17 attitudes 9 of the behavioral size of the total of 26 substances of the Likert type energy readiness scale was used. The study found that students had a positive attitude towards the need for energy savings training and the creation of renewable energy resources, although they had a negative attitude towards the fact that they could not do too much for energy savings individually. It has also been found that the teacher candidates’ energy literature is not a gender variable, but varies according to the part and income they read.
