Bu çalışmada, Çevre Eğitimi dersi alan ve almayan sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının özyeterlik algılarının farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma betimsel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiş olup, araştırmaya Ordu Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören Sınıf Öğretmenliği öğrencilerinden oluşan 49’u kadın ve 23’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 72 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının 45’i 1. sınıfa, 27’si 2.sınıfa devam etmekte olup, 54 kişi şehirde, 18 kişi ise kırsalda yetişmişlerdir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Özdemir, Vural ve Aydın (2009) tarafından geliştirilen “Çevre Eğitimi Özyeterlik Algı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. 5’li likert tipinde toplam 15 maddeden oluşan ölçeğin Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayısı 0.76 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde bağımsız gruplar t-testi ve Mann Whitney-U testleri kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, çevre eğitimi dersi alan ve almayan öğrencilerin çevre eğitimi özyeterlik algısı karşılaştırıldığında iki grup arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Ancak dersi alan öğretmen adaylarının puan ortalamalarının dersi almayan öğretmen adaylarından yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, erkeklerin çevre eğitimi özyeterlik algı puanlarının kadınların özyeterlik algı puanlarından yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının yetiştikleri yerleşim birimine göre ise iki grup arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamakla beraber kırsalda yetişen öğretmen adaylarının çevre eğitini özyeterlik algısı şehirde yaşayan öğretmen adaylarına göre daha yüksektir.
In this study, the aim is to study the perceptions of self-sufficiency of classmates who receive and do not receive the course of Environmental Education from different variables. The research was carried out in the visual scan model, and the research included a total of 72 teachers candidates, including 49 women and 23 men, consisting of class teaching students who studied at the Army University. 45 of the teaching candidates continue to 1st class, 27 to 2nd class, 54 in the city and 18 in the rural. The data collection tool was developed by Özdemir, Vural and Aydin (2009) using the "Environmental Education Self-Perception Scale". The Cronbach Alpha reliability ratio of the scale consisting of a total of 15 substances in the 5 likert type is calculated as 0.76. In the analysis of the research data, independent groups used t-tests and Mann Whitney-U tests. According to the findings obtained, there was no significant difference between the two groups when compared the perception of environmental self-sufficiency of students who took and did not take environmental education lessons. The average score of teachers who receive the lesson is higher than the average score of teachers who do not receive the lesson. Moreover, the environmental education has been determined that men’s self-perception scores are higher than women’s self-perception scores. According to the residential unit in which teachers are raised, there is no significant difference between the two groups, but the environmental education of teachers who are raised in the countryside is higher than the perception of self-sufficiency of teachers who live in the city.
