Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the levels of control focus students of the Faculty of Economic Administrative Sciences (IBF), which are considered to be potential entrepreneurs, in relation to their entrepreneurial trends. The research used the relational scan model; the data obtained by the application of a total of 520 university students from the departments of Business, Economics, Public Administration and Finance located within the IBF of the University of Gaziosmanpaşa "Rotter's Internal and External Control Room Scale" made by Mountain (1991) and tested validity and reliability developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) "University Student Entrepreneurship Scale" was used. Relationships between variables are calculated by correlation and multiple regression analysis. Analysis found that control focus and entrepreneurial tendency variables did not differ by gender. According to the correlation analysis, a significant link has been found between the internal control center and the entrepreneurial trend in a positive direction. There is also a positive but weak relationship between the external control center and the entrepreneurial tendency. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, the internal control center is a meaningful promoter of the entrepreneurial tendency. According to these findings, the internal control of students positively affects their entrepreneurial trends. At the end of the study, recommendations were presented to make students internally controlled.
