Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between gender, age and perfectionism in university students (positive perfectionism, negative perfectionism, order) with self-sabotage. In line with this objective, the participants of the study were formed by 598 students selected through the proportional crowd sampling. Participants responded to the Personal Information Form, the Positive-Negative Excellence Scale and the Self-Sabotage Scale. The study found that the level of positive perfectionism of university students, the order size of perfectionism and the age self-sabotage in the negative direction, and the negative level of perfectionism in the positive direction of self-sabotage. However, it turned out that sex itself is not a meaningful contributor to sabotage. In further studies, it is possible to explore which variables are the instrumental role in the relationship between the different dimensions of self-sabotage and perfectionism.
