Abstract:

Flying coal is a waste material that occurs in the thermal power plants, resulting from the burning of polluted coal. Waste materials bring additional costs due to the environmental problem as well as the need for storage in many cases. Therefore, many of the waste are attempted to be eliminated regardless of the content. However, waste materials also have a value and waste can be used in obtaining high added value products. Flying sand is also a waste material. Flying ash contains silica, aluminum and iron. When used in appropriate proportions, this material, which positively affects many characteristics of ceramic bodies and secrets, is also preferred because it reduces the cost of production in the ceramic industry. Flying ashes, which have been used in our country in the past few years, have been used as a raw material in ceramic bodies throughout the world, especially in developed countries for years. Because of its physical characteristics, chemical content, coloring capacity, and high levels of camsy phase, it can be used as an alternative raw material in the secrets. In this study, it is intended to evaluate the flight dust in secret production. Flying ashes have been added to the temmoku secret recipes and the effects on the secret characteristics have been investigated.
