Abstract:

People who need health services have some rights called patient rights. These rights in the health services are reflections of the basic human rights as they are the rights arisig from being human. The need for the protection of patients while taking health services, is not related with the social position of the patients. The patients are protected almost in whole of the world by both the national law and international agreements. However TRNC is one of the few countries where the national law does not provide such protection. As a result of this legal defiency, there are some problems in compensation of the damages and protection of the patient in TRNC. In this article, the patients rights are discussed in TRNC Law and in the Project of Patient Rights Act
