Abstract:

This study is an experimental study for examining poetry analysis with modern methods of analysis in effect the students' critical thinking, creative thinking and problem solving skills. The purpose of study is to determine on the students' skills said modern between methods of analysis and traditional method of analysis whether there is a difference. In the study experimental design based on pre-test, post-test and a mixed method research has been used. The research was conducted at the University of Ahi Evran in 2011-2012 academic year and was conducted in two classes where was carried analysis of poetry. As data collecting instrument developed by the researcher Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving Skill Scales was used. These scales were carried out to experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test in beginning and end of experimental study. Findings reveal that both modern analysis methods and traditional method have a positive effect on students' critical thinking, creative thinking and problem solving skills. In comparing the Experimental and Control groups' skills mentioned a statistically significant difference has been observed to the skills of critical thinking and creative thinking in the experimental group
