Abstract:

Some of the individuals in the leading position in may show toxic behaviors that have devastating characteristics. These destructive toxic leadership behaviors have a significant negative impact on employees, and the stress levels of employees in where toxic leadership behaviors are displayed are affected by it. This study aims to determine the impact of toxic leadership behaviors on employees’ stress levels. In this context, a survey was conducted with individuals working in the textile and metal kitchen industry located in Kahramanmaraş province to determine the relationship between the lower dimensions of toxic leadership behavior and working stress. The obtained data is subject to correlation and simple regression analysis. The research has found that there are meaningful, positive relationships between self-happiness, malicious supervision, unpredictability, narcissism and stress that is the underdimensions of toxic leadership and the incapacity to control.
