Abstract:

The study aimed at studying the attitudes of teachers candidates to the rights of children in the context of various variables has been used a general scan model. The research study group consists of 88 teachers candidates studying in the 1st and 4th classes of the Social Information Teaching Department of a state university located in the Anatolian Region. The research data was collected through Kepenekçi's (2006) "The Attitude Measurement on the Rights of the Child". The findings obtained from the research Social Information shows that the attitudes of teachers candidates to the rights of children are largely positive. Other findings from the study show that female teacher candidates have a more positive attitude towards the rights of children than male teacher candidates. However, there is no significant difference between the class levels of the teacher candidates, the mother’s educational status, the father’s educational status and the place of residence where they spend most of their lives and the level of attitude to the rights of the child.
