Abstract:

Natural resources search, production and consumption processes have always been areas affected by technological developments. The objective of mining is to produce and provide natural resources efficiently, sustainably and in working safety conditions to the industry to benefit the country’s economy. With this purpose, our country’s mining sector has increased the level of efficiency and economic contribution. Technological developments lead to serious changes in the socio-economic lives of societies. The mining sector is also greatly affected by these changes. The level of efficiency of our country’s mining enterprises is very low compared to the developed countries. The U.S. and Australia are producing about eight times more efficient than Turkey. The same situation is seen in the amount of added value per worker between the EU member countries and Turkey. If this problem is solved, it will be possible to implement the principles of industrialization and efficiency of Industry 4.0 primarily in our country’s mining enterprises.
