Bir sanat eseri için bilinen en iyi koruma yöntemlerinden biri de sigortalanmasıdır. Koleksiyonerleri sanat eserlerine yatırım yapılması konusunda tereddüte düşüren yegane unsur eserin değeri ve sahte olabilme kaygısıdır.Sigortacılık sektöründe bu konu ile ilgili en önemli sorun ise eser güvenliği ve değer tespiti ile ilgilidir.Sanat eseri alıcısı, yatırım yaptığı eser hakkında mağduriyetler yaşamak istemez.Bu araştırmada, eser sigortalanması süreç ve işlemlerinden kaynaklanan sorunlar tespit edilmiştir. Ülkemizde sanat eserleri sigorta ürünü diğer branşlara göre uygulama alanı dar kapsamlıdır. Özellikle kaynak yetersizliği, uzman eksperlerin sınırlı sayıda olması, oluşabilecek sahtecilik olaylarına karşı bilimsel yöntemlerin uygulanabileceği laboratuvarların olmayışı bu sektörün gelişmesinde sorun teşkil etmektedir.Bu araştırmada ilgili bireyin, sigorta kapsamında oluşabilecek risklere karşı esere hangi teminatlar altında güvence sağlanacağına dair bilgiler sunularak bilinçlendirilmesi, sahte eserlerin tespit edilmesi hususunda yol gösterilmesi, bu alanda uzman kişilerin yetiştirilmesi, bilimsel laboratuvarların oluşturulması, kaynak yetersizliğinin giderilerek sektör için gereken önemin verilmesi savunulmaktadır.
One of the ways to protect the known for an artwork is to be insured. The only element that makes the collectors hesitate about investing in art works is the fear of the value of the work and the possibility of being false.The important problem in the assurance sector is that the work is related to safety and value detection.The art work buyer does not want to experience victims about the work he invested.In this study, the work insurance process and processes have identified problems. In our country, art works insurance products are narrow in application compared to other branches. In particular, the lack of resources, the limited number of expert experts, the lack of laboratories in which scientific methods can be applied against possible fraud events are a problem in the development of this sector.In this study, the individual concerned is informed by providing information on which guarantees the work will be guaranteed against the risks that may occur under the insurance framework, the guidance on the detection of false works, the training of specialists in this field, the creation of scientific laboratories, the lack of resources is supported by giving the necessary importance to the sector.

The buyer of artwork does nor want to experience grievances about the artwork that he/she invests in. The problems related to insurance process and transaction have been identified in this research In comparison to other branches that are insurance products, the field of application for artworks in our country is narrow-scoped.Lack of resources, limited number of specialist experts, lack of laboratories where scientific methods can be applied against potential fraud incidents may constitute a problem in the development of this sector. In the research, it is argued that the relevant individuals should be informed and their awareness should be raised about which assurances will be provided under the insurance coverage against possible risks which may occur within the scope of insurance, and the necessity of showing due importance to its application for the identification of fake artworks, guidance, training the experts in this field, creating scientific laboratories, eliminating the lack of resources are also argued.
