Bu çalışmanın amacı “Ortaöğretim Öğrencilerindeki Özgüven Gelişimlerinin Spor ve Farklı Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi’dir. Bu araştırma Türkiye Ağrı ili / Doğubayazıt ilçesinde ortaöğretimde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri, beden eğitimi dersi dışında spor yapma durumları, sporcu lisansı, haftalık spor yapma süreleri ve yapmakta oldukları spor türü ile özgüven düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığını ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada betimsel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan 330 erkek ve 270 kadın toplam 600 ortaöğretim öğrencisinin demografik nitelikleriyle ilgili bilgileri elde etmek için kişisel bilgi formu, özgüven düzeylerini belirlemek için Akın (2007) tarafından geliştirilen ‘Özgüven Ölçeği’ kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 22.0 paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde iki bağımsız değişken ile özgüven düzeyi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemede Indipententsample T testi ve ikiden fazla değişken ile özgüven düzeyi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemede Anowa Varyans analizi teknikleri uygulanmıştır. Grupların görüşleri arasındaki fark P;<0,05 anlam düzeyi dikkate alınarak yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre öğrencilerin beden eğitimi dersi dışında spor yapma durumu, sporcu lisansı, haftalık spor yapma süreleri ve yapmakta oldukları spor türü değişkenleri açısından incelendiğinde özgüven ölçeğinden aldıkları puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu bulunmuştur. Buna karşın, cinsiyet değişkeni açısından ise özgüven ölçeğinden aldıkları puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı bulunmuştur. Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin spor yapma durumları, özgüven düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık yaratırken; spor yapan öğrencilerin spor yapmayan öğrencilerden, sporcu lisansı olan öğrencilerin sporcu lisansı olmayan öğrencilerden, herhangi bir spor türüyle uğraşan öğrencilerin sporla uğraşmayan öğrencilerden özgüven düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu, haftalık spor yapma süresi arttıkça özgüven düzeylerinin de arttığı yaptığımız çalışmamızda tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to "Review the development of self-confidence in high school students according to sports and different variables. This research is aimed at revealing whether there is a statistically meaningful relationship between the gender of students studying in the secondary education in the province of Turkey, the state of sporting outside the body training course, the athlete’s license, the weekly sporting times and the type of sport they are doing and the levels of self-confidence. In this study, a visual scan method was used. The 330 men and 270 women who participated in the study used a personal information form to obtain information about the demographic qualities of a total of 600 high school students, the Self-Confidence Scale developed by Akın (2007) to determine their levels of self-confidence. The analysis of the data was done using the SPSS 22.0 package program. In the analysis of data, the relationship between two independent variables and self-confidence levels was determined by the Indipententsample T test and the relationship between more than two variables and self-confidence levels was applied by Anowa Varyans analysis techniques. The difference between the opinions of the groups is interpreted by taking into account the meaning level P;<0,05. According to the data obtained, there was a significant difference between the average score they obtained from the scale of self-confidence when examined in terms of the state of sporting, athletic license, weekly sporting times and variations in the sport they are doing. However, in terms of gender variation, there was no significant difference between the scores they received from the self-confidence scale.
