Abstract:

Purpose: The research was carried out in a cutting-edge way in order to determine the ethical sensitivities of emergency health staff. Work Plan: The research was done with health staff working in emergency services of hospitals located in Kayseri province center. The data of the study was collected using the survey form and the Ethical Sensitivity Survey. Statistical analyses used numbers, percentage, average, standard deviation, median, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis analysis, Dunn tests. Results: In the study, 54.1 percent of emergency healthcare workers experienced ethical doubts, 45.7 percent experienced ethical doubts in many “treatment practices” and 38.6 percent said they did “the patient-friendly” in the ethical doubts approach, 67. It has been found that the ethical sensitivity of the fields of the training seminars or courses that they receive is higher than the ethical sensitivity. The study found the ethical sensitivity of women’s health staff, those who choose their profession by their own will and those who have been working in the profession for 11 years or more. It is also found that the institution that is studied affects the ethical sensitivity of the healthcare staff.
