Abstract:

There is a high degree of competition in the private sector in the globalization era. Even though public institutions seem to be exempt from this competition, today citizens expect high quality services from public institutions. Public institutions need to use their human resources effectively to meet the demand of citizens. The concept of organizational trust defines the trust bond that employees have towards their managers, workplaces and colleagues. The concept of burnout is a psychological state that points to three different negative states: emotional exhaustion, insensitivity and personal failure perception. In this study, the relationship between the organizational trust which has positive effects on organizations and the burnout which has negative effect on Organizations according to literature was investigated. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of organizational trust on burnout perception. To achieve the purpose of the study, Ankara Social Security Institution was determined as the research universe. A questionnaire was sent to 350 people in this universe and research was carried out with healthy data obtained from 306 employees. The questionnaire form consists of questions about determining demographic information, organizational trust scale, burnout perception scale. The most important limitation of the study was that it was conducted on the basis of a small universe covering the employees of Ankara SSI. As a result of regression analysis conducted through SPSS analysis program, it was concluded that organizational trust affects the burnout negatively and significantly.
