Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to evaluate exiested potential of Eskişehir City in both medical facilities and tourism attractions context. Qualitative research design was adopted in the study. Accordingly, in depth interview technique was recruited to reveal medical tourism potantial of Eskişehir with stakeholders such as medical tourism unit executives in hospitals and provincial director of culture and tourism in June 10-25, 2021. Thematic analysis technique was recruited in the analysis of the research data, and in order to ensure trustworthiness of the findings credibility, transferability, consistency, and confirmability criteria were used. The results of the study indicated that Eskişehir enjoys a great potential for growth in terms of medical tourism potentials because of the fact that the city is safe and tranquil, having an active social life, sufficient accommodation supply in the short-run, fair price for the services compare to the other metropolis, closeness to other metropolis, sufficient substructure of the health institutions and a variety of tourism attractiveness. The results of the research possess a series of implications that contribute to academia, practice, and the industry. The research is thought to be a remarkable resource for people, institutions, and organizations interested in medical tourism.
