Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de yenilenebilir elektrik enerjisi üretimine etki eden faktörleri araştırmaktır. Bu amaçla 1998-2014 yılları arası Türkiye’nin yenilenebilir elektrik enerjisi üretimi, toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi, toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi içerisinde yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminin payı ve kişi başına Gayri Safi Yurt İçi Hâsıla yıllık büyüme oranı verileri Dünya Bankası verilerinden elde edilmiştir. OLS tahmin modeli kullanılarak yapılan analiz sonucunda Türkiye’de toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketiminin, toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi içerisinde yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminin payının ve kişi başına GSYH’nin yenilenebilir elektrik enerjisi üretimine anlamlı ve pozitif yönde katkı sağladığı bulunmuştur. Yenilenebilir elektrik enerjisi üretimi ile kişi başına GSYH büyüme hızı arasında pozitif yönde çift yönlü nedensellik bulunmuştur. Dahası, toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi değişkeni ile toplam elektrik enerjisi tüketimi içerisinde yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminin payının değişkenleri hem yenilenebilir elektrik enerjisi üretimini hem de kişi başına GSYH büyüme hızı değişkenlerini tek yönlü olarak pozitif yönde etkilemektedir.
The aim of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the production of renewable electricity in Turkey. For this purpose, the renewable electricity production of Turkey between 1998-2014 years, the total electricity consumption, the share of renewable energy consumption in the total electricity consumption and the annual growth rate per person in the country is obtained from the data of the World Bank. Analysis using the OLS estimate model found that the total electricity consumption in Turkey, the share of renewable energy consumption in the total electricity consumption and GDP per person contributed significantly and positively to the production of renewable electricity. There has been a positive double cause between renewable electricity production and GDP growth rate per person. Furthermore, the variable of total electricity consumption and the share of renewable energy consumption in total electricity consumption have a positive impact on both the production of renewable electricity and the GDP growth rate variables per person.
