Abstract:

Permaculture education to be given to children in early age; nature, environmental problems and solutions, environmental sensitivity, sustainability, etc. To give them aesthetic feelings as it can awareness them in the subjects, to offer them the possibility of physical activity, to support their social and sensual development, to enhance their academic (especially for the concepts used in mathematical education), to use the instruments (sweaters, curls, etc.) It is believed that they can support children in many areas as to enhance their skills. It is important that the practices to be implemented using the principles of permaculture design in school gardens, green areas in their neighborhoods or balconies of their houses are included in the pre-school education stage, which is the most fundamental stage of education in order to produce healthy food, attract attention to sustainability, provide solutions to the negative problems caused by current excess consumption and problems in their surroundings, to produce soil and fertilizer, to improve the living areas of animals, to support the skills of children in their development areas and to benefit from many other aspects. In our country there are no academic studies in the field of education based on the permaculture approach, especially in pre-school education, but there are studies that private and public educational institutions at various levels such as pre-school, primary school, secondary school, high school have done some projects with permaculture content and the school gardens are designed for the design of permaculture. This situation has clearly shown that awareness in the field of education has begun but, despite that, there is a huge lack of academic studies. This work is aimed at removing the lack of literature and creating resources for researchers and educators who want to work on the newly spread permaculture design in our country, which preserves its present in the world.
