Özet:

Abstract Based on a theoretical discussion about the professional identity shared by members of the journalistic tribe, this article is dedicated to understanding the specific knowledge that guides the news production of the hegemonic media, in order to draw counterpoints and alternative possibilities to the professional dynamics. Based on the reports of the Catalan journalist Bru Rovira, specifically those of two of his books – Solo pido un poco de belleza (ROVIRA, 2016) and Áfricas: cosas que pasan no tan lejos (ROVIRA, 2006) –, we delimit the elements of the identity that he requires, in order of a counterpoint to the competencies conventionally associated with the figure of the journalist, and we signal the complex and comprehensive dialogical narrative devices that, inscribed in the universe of the unhappenings journalism, connect to this purpose.
