Abstract:

While concepts such as digitalization, use of new computer technologies and web 2.0 have been discussed in the field of communication for a long time, artificial intelligence-based technologies have now taken their place in the literature as a new discussion topic. With the spread of new generation information and communication technologies such as AI, (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things) and blockchain technology in the world, the technological and industrial revolution has accelerated and the concept of artificial intelligence has received great attention from government, industry and academia. Artificial intelligence is expressed as the ability of robots to perform tasks related to each other and humans, and therefore, robotics and artificial intelligence are expected to be included in almost every aspect of our daily lives in the future. It is predicted that some programs, especially produced on the basis of artificial intelligence, will affect the communicative processes, working lives and social interactions of individuals in daily use. At the forefront of these programs is the ChatGPT (Chatbot Generative Pre-trained Transformer) program, which has been frequently discussed and researched recently. This program stands out with its ability to interact in the form of chat. In this direction, it is aimed to present a theoretical, descriptive and methodological framework on the relationship between artificial intelligence and communication, and the future of communication, in particular, the ChatGPT application. In addition, it focuses on the benefits and drawbacks of this program, which opens a new field in communication, its effects on the field of communication and the possible changes expected after 2023. And finally, this period as writers; We are making a new contribution to the field by naming it "The Age of Humanized Digitization".
