Abstract:

Letters and words have been used in different forms, such as "visual poetry", in addition to their normal use throughout our literary history. These textes are read and studied in the framework of a number of rules and forms. The availability of the Arab alphabet for diverse compositions has contributed to the attraction and spread of this kind of literary products. Poetry and poetry that write poems in this style, referred to by the names of "visual poetry" or "figurative poetry", is an important joint. Molla Hamid Efendi and his son Molla Cevat (Durceylan) can be among the leading characters. In our study we will first provide general information about visual poetry and its characteristics. After the information about the life of these two worlds, who were born in the last periods of the Ottoman State and lived in the period of the Republic and carrying the traces of the two periods, the figure related to the subject will be focused on examples of the poems in the client style.
