Abstract:

The art of Hiciv is one of the main literary styles of Arabic literature. In this kind, defects, defeats, stupidities, weaknesses, disadvantages and errors are preferably laughed in order to heal the tribes, parties, families, individuals or the society itself. The word hicâ in Arabic is probably equivalent to the root of h-g-h in Hebrew. The original meaning of ‘Hicah’ may be ‘to silently pronounce a sadness, to blurry, to say magical words and to be astonished’. There is also the meaning of the word “think”. The origins of the Arabic hicvin are probably based on magic. This magic is a kind of magical legend or a prophecy for priests, which is expected to undermine any tribe or individual's reputation. The Arabic pre-Islam is the priest of his tribe. The first poems of Arab literature, by the presumed persons in which they communicated with demons or jinns, were forced to destroy the enemies. The great reputation of the Hicivci is derived from the role he takes as a witch. His primary duty is to give the legends to the Gentiles. This poetic genre was widely processed by the early Arabs, as a thematic part of a very thematic book, if necessary in short and individual pieces. This study will study the birth of ancient Arab hicvins and their relationship with ancient geographical traditions.
