Özet:

The poet Ahmed Shawky is considered the prince of the poets, and the poet of love and spinning, and he is one of the most contemporary Arab poets whose poetry have influenced people and made the poetic library rich. His poetry leaves a clear imprint, and a great impact on our hearts, due to the diversity of the purposes of his poems, and the topics of his poems vary between love, politics, praise, and description. Ahmed Shawky wrote a lot of patriotic poems that arouse enthusiasm in the soul. He has many poetry collections that have mostly been studied because of the moral and descriptive beauty they contain, and among his most important poetic collections: The Diwan of Shawkiyat, whose name is still vibrant to this day, and accordingly we have chosen from him a poem (Deceived Her). Through our deep reading of the poem, we found the poet resorting to the use of symbols, and his thoughts express legendary stories, as we found in them the revival of heritage; by including events, just as the poet’s psyche is clearly manifested through the meanings of words, and in every reading, we reach a new meaning that corresponds to the text. The following research will explore this. Accordingly, the poem will be studied according to the modern critical approaches, and with the difficulty of understanding all these approaches and applying them all at the same time. This has made the work more enjoyable and more interesting, so the poem was indeed a garden filled with the vitality of colorful flowers, to reach the results and conclusion. It is necessary to quickly outline modern critical approaches such as structural, semiotic, mythological, psychological, historical, and deconstructive approaches, and we employed these modern approaches and the descriptive analytical approach in general in our analysis and study of the poem.
