Abstract:

It is aimed to examine the relationships between colleague solidarity and work motivation in nurses in this study. In addition, it is among the aims of the study to determine whether colleague solidarity and work motivation differ according to the personal and demographic characteristics of nurses. The universe of the study consists of nurses working in Ankara Gazi University Health Research and Application Center Hospital. A total of 900 nurses work at Ankara Gazi University Health Research and Application Center Hospital. The number of samples calculated at 95 %confidence level for the universe was 270 and, in this study, 275 people were reached. In the analysis of the data of the study, the significance test of the difference between the two means, one-way analysis of variance, Correlation Analysis and multivariate regression analysis were used to examine the relationship between the variables. The analysis was based on a significance level of 0.05. It was determined that the level of work motivation of the participants was moderate, and the perception of colleague solidarity was high in the study. In the analyzes, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference among nurses in the age, gender, education and staff variables in work motivation; in the colleague solidarity among nurses in the age, gender, education, total working time and staff variables. It was determined that professional solidarity among nurses affected work motivation positively and significantly in the study.
