Ortaokul Beşinci Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Noktalama İşaretlerini Doğru Kullanma Durumlarının İncelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin noktalama işaretlerini doğru kullanma durumlarının incelenmesidir. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama survey türündedir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında Yozgat il merkezindeki ortaokulların beşinci sınıfında öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemin seçiminde basit seçkisiz küme örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Küme örnekleme yöntemiyle Yozgat il merkezindeki beş ortaokul tespit edilmiştir. Bu beş ortaokulda öğrenim gören toplam 309 öğrenci örneklemi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı “Noktalama İşaretleri Tespit Formu” kullanılmıştır. Veriler 2018 yılı ekim ayında toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizinde SPSS 21 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin noktalama işaretlerini doğru kullanma oranı %54,6 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Ortaokul beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin nokta işaretini doğru kullanım oranı %83, virgül işaretinin doğru kullanım oranı %74, kesme işaretinin doğru kullanım oranı %62; tırnak işaretini doğru kullanma oranı %4, noktalı virgül işaretinin doğru kullanım oranı ise %3, üç noktayı doğru kullanma oranı %0’dır.

Students of the 5th grade high school review the conditions of correct use of the pointing signs

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the cases in which high school fifth class students use the pointing signs correctly. Research is a type of qualitative research method (survey). The universe of research is formed by students studying in the fifth class of high schools in the center of Yozgat province in the 2018-2019 educational year. In the selection of the sample, a simple non-selective group sample method has been used. With the sample method, five high schools in Yozgat province were identified. The total number of students studying in these five high schools is 309. The data collection tool was used "Noctalation Sign Identification Form". The data was collected in October 2018. The analysis of the data is based on the SPSS 21 program. The study found that the student’s rate of correct use of the pointing signs was 54.6%. High school fifth grade students' point mark correct use rate 83, virgule mark correct use rate 74, cutting mark correct use rate 62%; nail mark correct use rate 4%, point mark correct use rate 3%, three points correct use rate 0%.

The aim of this research is to examine the use of punctuation marks in the fifth grade of middle school students. The research is of the survey type of quantitative research methods. The population of the study consists of the fifth-grade students in the middle school in the city center of Yozgat in the academic year 2018-2019. A simple random cluster sampling method was used in the selection of the sample. Five secondary schools in Yozgat city center were identified by cluster sampling method. A total of 309 students studying in these five secondary schools form the sample. Data collection tool “Punctuation Marks Detection Form” was used. Data were collected in October 2018. SPSS 21 program was used to analyze the collected data. As a result of the research, the correct use of punctuation marks was determined as 54.6%. The correct use rate of the fifth grade students at point mark is 83%, the correct use of commas is 74%, the correct use of the slash is 62%, the correct rate of using the quotation marks is 4%, the correct use of the semicolon is 3%, and the correct use of the three points is 0%.
