Öğretim elemanlarının hem akademik çalışmalarıyla bilime hem de bilgi birikimleriyle ders verdikleri öğrencilerin öğrenmelerine ve gelişimlerine katkı sunma görevleri vardır. Öğretim elemanları bu sorumlulukları yerine getirmekle doğrudan ülkenin eğitim seviyesinin yükselmesine, dolaylı olarak da kalkınmasına zemin sağlamış olacaktır. Öğretim elemanının davranışlarının öğrenciler tarafından algılanışı, öğretim elemanlarının sorumluluklarını yerine getirip getirmediğinin belirleyicisi olan faktörlerden biri olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda bu araştırmada öğrencilerin öğretim elemanı algılarının metafor aracılığıyla ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan temel nitel desende fundamential qualitative research tasarlanan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören son sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunda yer alan öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmeler sonrasında veri toplama aracı ile elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan analiz sonucunda, öğrencilerin öğretim üyelerine yönelik olumlu, olumsuz ve hem olumlu hem olumsuz ifade içeren metafor ürettikleri tespit edilirken araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin öğretim elemanlarına yönelik neredeyse olumlu anlam içeren metafor kadar olumsuz anlamlı metafor ile benzetim yapmış olmaları dikkat çeken ve sorgulayıcı bir bulgu olmuştur
Teachers have the tasks of contributing to the learning and development of the students they teach with both their academic work and their science and knowledge accumulation. The teachers will have provided the ground for the country’s level of education to rise and indirectly to develop by fulfilling these responsibilities. It is believed that the perception of the teaching element’s behavior by students is one of the factors that determine whether the teaching element fulfils its responsibilities. In this context, this research aims to reveal the perceptions of the teaching elements of the students through the metafor. The basic quality of the research methods in the design of fundamental qualitative research is the study group of the research designed by the University of Fırat School of Education forms the final class students who study. After conversations with students in the study group, the data obtained by the data collection tool was subject to content analysis. The results of the analysis found that students produced a positive, negative and both positive and negative expression metaphor to their teachers, while the research found that the students who participated in the study had compared with a negative metaphor with a negative meaning metaphor to their teachers with a almost positive meaning metaphor.

It is thought that how the behaviors of the instructor is perceived by the students is one of the determinants of whether the instructors fulfill their responsibilities. In this context, in this research, it is aimed to reveal the perceptions of the instructor by means of metaphor. The study group of the study, which was designed in fundamental qualitative research, which is one of the qualitative research methods, consists of the last year students studying at Fırat University Faculty of Education. After the interviews with the students, the data obtained through the data collection tool were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that students produced positive, negative, and metaphors containing both positive and negative expressions for the faculty members. The fact that the students who participated in the research simulated a negative metaphor as much as a metaphor containing almost positive meaning towards instructors was a noteworthy and questioning finding
