Abstract:

Purpose: Pilonidal sinus is a chronic disease that affects more young men. Although conservative therapy methods are described, surgical therapy is still popular. Flip methods are one of the most used methods. In this article we aimed at presenting the findings of patients we treat with the Modified Limberg Method we applied in our clinic along with literature long-term results. Methods: Pylonidal sinus patients treated with Modified Limberg Flep Method between April 2014 and January 2016 were examined retrospective. Patients were assessed in terms of age, gender, duration of surgery, complications, nickness and follow-up period. In total, 51 of the 63 patients were men and 12 were women. The average age of patients was 26.12 ± 5.45. The age range varied from 18 to 37. The average tracking time was 33.7 ± 3.2 (28-42) months. In two cases it was found. That was 3.1 percent. In a total of 4 patients the complication developed (6.3%). The duration of the surgery is an average of 44.3±9.4 (36-68 minutes). Result: Modified Limberg method is an important surgical method that should be considered in the surgical treatment of pilonoidal sinus disease. It has acceptable nuts and compilation rates.
