Değerler, bir toplumun ortaya koyduğu, toplumu var eden ve yönlendiren kültürel unsurlardır. Toplumun, varlığını sürdürebilmesi için nesilden nesile aktarılmaları gerekir. Bu aktarımı sağlamada halk anlatmaları dediğimiz destan, masal, halk hikâyesi, fıkra ve efsaneler son derece önemlidir. Çünkü bu anlatmalar sözlü, yazılı ve elektronik ortamda yer alan anlatılardır. Bu anlatılara belirtilen ortamlardan birinden ulaşarak dinleyen ve okuyanlar değerleri de öğrenmiş olacaklardır. Efsaneler, bilimin çok gelişmediği ve yaygınlaşmadığı dönemde insanların, çevrelerinde gördükleri bir takım oluşumların meydana geliş serüvenleriyle ilgili oluşturulan metinlerdir. Bu metinler, içlerinde barındırdıkları kültürel unsurları dolayısıyla değerler eğitimini, gelecek nesillere ulaştırırlar. Efsanelerin eğitici ve değer kazandırıcı işlevleri mevcuttur. Özellikle değer eğitimi açısından incelendikleri zaman, efsanelerin çok zengin oldukları ve değer eğitimi amacıyla kullanılabilecek halk anlatısı türü oldukları görülecektir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı da, değerler açısından zengin olduğu düşünülen efsanelerin, bu yönünü ortaya koymak ve değer eğitiminde kullanılabileceklerini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla çalışmada, Saim Sakaoğlu’nun 101 Anadolu Efsanesi kitabı, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2019 yılında yayımlanan Türkçe Dersi Öğretim Programı’nda yer alan on kök değere (adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik) göre nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile incelenip yorumlanacaktır.
Values are cultural elements that a society exposes, creates and guides society. They need to be transmitted from generation to generation in order to maintain their existence. In providing this translation, the narrative, the narrative, the narrative, the narrative, the jokes and the legends that we call public narratives are extremely important. These stories are verbal, written and electronic. Those who listen to and read these stories will also learn the values. Legends are texts created in the period when science is not very advanced and not spread, about the events of a series of formations that people see around them. These texts, because of the cultural elements they contain, transmit the education of values to the future generations. The educational and valuable functions of the legends are available. When they are studied especially in terms of value education, it will appear that the legends are very rich and are a kind of popular narrative that can be used for value education. The main objective of this study is to reveal this aspect of the legends that are thought to be rich in values and to determine that they can be used in the education of values. For this purpose, Saim Sakaoğlu's 101 Anatolian Legend book will be studied and interpreted by the method of document examination of the quality research methods according to the ten root values (justness, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, utility) included in the Turkish lesson teaching program published by the Ministry of Education in 2019.
