Toplumu anlamanın en işlevsel yollarından biri toplumsal grupları incelemektir. Dini gruplar da araştırmacıya toplumun dini hayatı hakkında fikir verirler. Bu çalışmada Diyarbakır’daki dini gruplar, din anlayışlarının çeşitliliğini gösteren bir örneklem üzerinden nitel bir yöntem ile ve kesitsel bir araştırma çerçevesinde incelenmişlerdir. Dini grup çeşitliliği konusunda ayrıcalık taşıyan Diyarbakır, tarihi kültürel hafızasında, günümüzde olduğundan farklı olarak, etnik ve kültürel çoğulculuğu barındıran bir şehirdir. Günümüzde Diyarbakır’da cemaat, tarikat, sivil toplum kuruluşu olarak yüzlerce dini grup faaliyet göstermektedir. Bunlar toplumun dini hayatı üzerinde çeşitli düzeylerde etkide bulunmaktadırlar. Diyarbakır’da sufilikten Selefiliğe kadar çok çeşitli din anlayışlarına sahip dini gruplar mevcuttur. Bu grupların din anlayışları, birçok boyutta ayrışırken, bazı konularda ise birbirine oldukça yakındır. Kadın konusunda bütün dini gruplar modernizm karşıtlığında birleşmektedirler. Dinde çoğulculuk meselesinde çoğunlukla Ehl-i Sünnet inancını kabul edilebilirlik sınırı olarak gören dini gruplar, dini çoğulculuk bağlamında İslam’ı, hakikati temsil eden tek din olarak kabul etmektedirler. Müslümanların geleceği konusunda ise çoğunlukla iyimser bir tutum içindedirler
One of the most functional ways to understand society is to study social groups. Religious groups also give the researcher an idea about the religious life of society. In this study, religious groups in Diyarbakır have been studied through a sample that shows the diversity of religious concepts with a qualified method and in the framework of a cutting-edge research. Diyarbakır is a city with ethnic and cultural diversity in its historical cultural memory, unlike today. Today, hundreds of religious groups operate in Diyarbakır as a community, tarikat, civil society organization. They have an influence on the religious life of the society at various levels. There are many religious groups in Diyarbakır that have a variety of religious concepts from sufilism to Selefilism. The religious concepts of these groups are divided in many dimensions, while in some matters they are quite close to each other. All religious groups in relation to women are united against modernism. Religious groups, which often see the Ehl-i Sünnet faith as the limit of acceptability in the matter of religious multiplication, accept Islam as the only religion that represents the truth in the context of religious multiplication. The future of the Muslims is mostly optimistic.

Diyarbakır, which is privileged in terms of religious group diversity, is a city that hosts ethnic and cultural pluralism in its historical cultural memory unlike today. Today, there are hundreds of religious groups operating in Diyarbakır as congregations, sect and non-governmental organizations. They influence the religious life of society at various levels. There are religious groups in Diyarbakır with a wide range of religious understandings, from sufism to Salafism. While the religious understanding of these groups diverges in many dimensions, on some issues they are very close to each other. All religious groups are united in opposition to modernism regarding women. On the issue of pluralism in religion, religious groups who often regard Ahl al-Sunnah's understanding of Islam as the limit of acceptability, regard Islam as the only religion that represents the truth in the context of religious pluralism. They are mostly optimistic about the future of Muslims
