Zamanla gelişen havayolu ulaşımı, dünya genelinde en çok talep gören ulaştırma sistemi olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Türkiye’nin de önemli söz sahibi olduğu bu sektör turizm sektörü içinde son derece mühimdir. Bu çalışmada, turizm açısından Türkiye’ye önemli bir etki sağlayan Güney Ege Bölgesindeki Muğla iline bağlı olan Milas-Bodrum havalimanı ile hem Marmara hem de Kuzey Ege’ye sınırı olan Balıkesir Koca Seyit havalimanın bölgesel turizm talebine etkisi incelenmiştir. Geleneksel birim kök testlerinin (Augmented Dickey Fuller ve Phillips Perron) yanı sıra, yapısal kırılmanın varlığının tespiti için, Zivot ve Andrews’in (1992) birim kök testi kullanılmıştır. Ampirik analiz 1986-2016 dönemi arasındaki veriler ile yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Güllük Körfezine ait verilerde geleneksel yöntemler birim kökün varlığını işaret ederken, yapısal kırılmaları dikkate alan Zivot ve Andrews (ZA) yöntemi serilerde kırılmaların dikkate alınması durumunda birim kök olmadığı yani serilerin durağan olduğu sonucunu ortaya koymuştur. Diğer taraftan Edremit Körfezi için ise turizm verilerinin seviye durağan tespit edilmiş olması, söz konusu dönemde yapısal bir kırılma yaşanmadığını göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla turizm talebi ile havayolu ulaştırma sistemleri arasında pozitif ilişki tespit edilmiştir.
The development of air transportation over time is emerging as a transportation system that is highly demanded throughout the world. This sector, which Turkey also has an important promoter, is extremely important in the tourism sector. In this study, a significant impact on Turkey in terms of tourism; the Milas-Bodrum airport, which is connected to the Muğla province in the Southern Ege region, and the impact on the regional tourism demand of the Fiskesir Koca Seyit airport, which is border with both Marmara and Northern Ege. In addition to the traditional unit root tests (Augmented Dickey Fuller and Phillips Perron), the existence of structural breakdown was identified, the unit root test of Zivot and Andrews (1992) was used. The empirical analysis was done with data from the period 1986-2016. As a result of the analysis, traditional methods indicate the existence of the unit root in the data of the Gulf of Roses, while Zivot and Andrews (ZA) methods considering structural breakdowns have shown the conclusion that the unit root is not in the case of breakdowns in the series being taken into account, which means that the series are stable. On the other hand, for the Gulf of Edremit, the level of tourism data has been detected, indicating that there has not been a structural breakdown during the period. Therefore, a positive relationship between tourism demand and air transport systems has been established.
Over time, airline transportation has become the most demanding transportation system in the world. Turkey is also extremely important in this sector, the tourism sector is an important question. In this study, providing a significant impact on Turkey in terms of tourism; The impact of Milas-Bodrum airport, which is connected to Muğla province in the southern Aegean region, and Balıkesir Koca Seyit airport, which is bordering both Marmara and North Aegean, on the regional tourism demand was examined. In addition to conventional unit root tests (Augmented Dickey Fuller and Phillips Perron), the unit root test of Zivot and Andrews (1992) was used to determine the presence of structural breakage. Empirical analysis was performed with data between 1986-2016. As a result of the analyzes, while the traditional methods point out the existence of unit root in the data of Güllük Gulf, Zivot and Andrews (ZA) method, which takes structural fractures into consideration, revealed that there is no unit root when the fractures are taken into consideration, in the series are stationary. On the other hand, the tourism level for Edremit Gulf was determined to be stable, indicating that there was no structural break in the said period. Therefore, a positive relationship was found between tourism demand and airline transportation systems.
