Bu araştırmanın amacı, farklı ülkelerden Türkiye’ye gelen ve Türkçe öğrenen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin alfabe farklılıklarının yabancılara Türkçe öğretimindeki etkisini belirlemek, bu bireylerin Türkçe öğrenirken karşılaştıkları alfabeden kaynaklanan sorunların hangi boyutlarda olduğunu ortaya koymaktır. Alfabe farklılıklarının yabancılara Türkçe öğretimine etkisini belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemine göre düzenlenmiş ve nitel veri toplama tekniklerinden gözlem, görüşme ve doküman inceleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Türkiye’deki 7 farklı üniversitenin TÖMER’lerinde öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu 159 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, çalışma grubunda yer alan öğrencilere uygulanan yapılandırılmış görüşme formları, dikte yöntemiyle öğrencilere yazdırılan metinler ve çalışma kapsamında araştırmacı tarafından yapılan gözlem aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen sonuçlara göre çalışma grubunda yer alan yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerden Arap alfabesini kullananların % 55.77’si, Kiril alfabesini kullananların % 71.43’ü, Latin alfabesini kullananların ise % 22.58’i alfabe farklılıklarının Türkçe öğrenmelerinde sorun oluşturduğunu düşünmektedir. Yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin Türkçe öğrenme sürecinde alfabe farklılıklarından kaynaklı yaşadığı sorunlar, öğrencinin ana diline ve ana dilinde kullandığı alfabeye göre değişkenlik göstermektedir. Kiril alfabesini kullanan öğrenciler Türkçede yer alan sessiz harflerin, Arap ve Latin alfabesini kullanan öğrenciler ise sesli harflerin telaffuzunda sorun yaşamaktadır. Türkçede yer alan harfleri yazma konusunda ise Arap ve Latin alfabesini kullananlar sesli harflerin yazmada, Kiril alfabesini kullananlar ise sessiz harflerin yazmada sorun yaşamaktadır.
The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of alphabet differences of foreign students from different countries who come to Turkey and learn Turkish on foreigners in the teaching of Turkish, and to reveal the dimensions of the problems arising from the alphabet they encounter while learning Turkish. This study, which aims to determine the influence of alphabet differences on the teaching of foreigners in the Turkish language, was organized according to the quality research method and used observation, conversation and document examination from the quality data collection techniques. The study group consists of 159 foreign students studying at 7 different universities in Turkey. The research data was collected through structured forms of conversation applied to students in the work group, text printed to students by dictated method and observations made by the researcher in the work framework. In the analysis of the data collected, content analysis was used. According to the results obtained in the study, 55.77% of foreign students in the study group believe Arabic alphabet, 71.43% of those who use the Kirill alphabet and 22.58% of those who use the Latin alphabet that alphabet differences are a problem in learning Turkish. The problems that foreign students experience due to alphabet differences in the Turkish learning process vary according to the student's mother tongue and the alphabet in his mother tongue. Students using the Cyrillic alphabet have trouble with the pronunciation of the silent letters in Turkish, while students using the Arabic and Latin alphabet have trouble with the pronunciation of the voice letters. As for writing the letters in Turkish, those who use the Arabic and Latin alphabet have trouble writing voice letters, while those who use the Kiril alphabet have trouble writing quiet letters.
