Abstract:

This research aims to identify the levels of academic self-sufficiency of students studying in high school institutions and to study in terms of various variables. This study used the screening model was conducted with adolescents studying in the 2018-2019 educational year in the Eastern Anadolu Region of Turkey. In the study, 624 high school students were achieved with a simple random sampling method. The "Academic Self-Qualification Scale" has been used to collect research data. In the analysis of the data, the SPSS 22.0 package program was used. According to the research results, high school students have found that their academic self-quality beliefs in general are at a level of "compatible with me". It has been found that there is no meaningful difference between the views of high school students on the levels of academic self-quality beliefs and gender and student types. According to the variable of the type of school that high school students are studying, the high school students are determined to have more positive levels of academic self-capacity beliefs than the high school students; and the high school students are determined to have more positive levels of academic self-capacity beliefs than the high school students. According to the class variable that high school students study, it has been found that 9th grade students have more positive levels of academic self-quality beliefs than 10th grade students.
