Most research by Muslim scientists finds the general recognition that the Islamic civilization affects Europe in science and philosophy. However, it is not possible to say that there is a complete agreement between its colleagues in the West. In the West, it appears that there are those who exaggerate the scientific influence of Muslims on Europe, especially in the Middle Ages, as well as those who underestimate and even disregard the influence. One of the sides of these discussions is the German scientist Dag Nikolaus Hasse. Hasse is an expert in the Middle Ages and New Age philosophy and philosophy that has done long research in this field. Hasse is a scientist who manages to be objective by showing a scientific approach in his studies on the subject, which is the subject of the discussion of the results he obtained, or which is based on the first sources given by the person or works. According to him, in the formation of the Western civilization of this day, the ancient East, Greek, Roman, Jewish and Christian cultures, as well as Muslims, should be mentioned and included in these real lessons. The work in your hands, based on some of the works Hasse wrote in this field, tries to determine his position in the discussions about the influences of Islamic thought tradition on the Western world.

Based on some of his works in this field, the present study attempts to determine Hasse's position in the debates concerning the effects of the Islamic intellectuel tradition on the Western world.
