Abstract:

The first arrival of the Jews to this geography that covers the coastal parts of Syria and the territories of Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. It is estimated to be within 2,000 years. After the Roman era, the Jews came into the region in the 19th century. The fact that these lands were seen as promised to them from the suffering of the Jews has given the region a sacred view of the suffering. In these periods when their influences in political Zionism began to be seen, the immigration of Jews to these territories brought together a series of problems between the Arab states and the Jews, which are the ruler power in the region. This process continued with the Balfour Declaration published on 2 November 1917, which was much more severe with the proclamation of the State of Israel in 1948, and these problems continued to increase day by day. There have been many wars between Israel and the Arab states, following an aggressive foreign policy due to security concerns in the region. As a result of the 1967 Israeli-Arab war, Israel occupied the Golan Mountains, which are located within the territory of Syria and are in a very important position both geostrategically and geopolitically. This occupation has become a major problem with the declaration that Israel has adhered to the region in 1982, and this problem continues today. The need for ground and ground wealth and, if necessary, the location that dominates the region makes the Golan Mountains quite important and thus the Golan Mountains become an irreversible area for Israel. In the study of these characteristics, the existing potential of the Golan Mountains and the geopolitical and geostrategic characteristics have been discussed and the importance they carry in terms of Israel and the countries of the region.
