Bu araştırma, okul müdürlerinin görüşlerine ve öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin çatışma yönetimi stillerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmış olan betimsel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın evreni; 2014-2015 eğitim - öğretim yılında, İstanbul ili, Avrupa Yakası, Bahçelievler ilçesindeki ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde çalışan öğretmen ve yöneticilerden oluşmaktadır. Örneklemi ise bu genel evren içinden basit tesadüfi küme örneklem yolu ile belirlenen 41 okulda görev yapan, 103 yönetici ve 300 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada Kişisel Bilgiler Formu ve yöneticilerin çatışma yönetimi stillerini belirlemek amacıyla "Rahim Örgütsel Çatışma Ölçeği II” kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler SPSS paket programında analiz edilmiştir Araştırma sonucunda: okul yöneticilerinin çatışmaları yönetmede "tümleştirme" tutumlarının çok yüksek, "ödün verme" ve "uzlaşma" tutumlarının yüksek, "hükmetme" ve "kaçınma" tutumlarının orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen görüşlerine göre ise; okul yöneticilerinin, "tümleştirme" tutumlarının yüksek, "hükmetme", "kaçınma", "ödün verme" ve "uzlaşma" tutumlarının ise orta seviyede olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada, okul yöneticilerin "medeni durum", "öğrenim durumu" ve "mesleki kıdem" değişkenleri ile öğretmenlerin "medeni durum", "yaş", "bağlı olunan kurum", "branş", "öğrenim durumu", "mesleki kıdem", "okul türü", "yönetici yaşı" ve "yönetici cinsiyeti", değişkenleri ile okul yöneticilerinin çatışma yönetimi stillerini arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur.
This research is an imaginary study that, according to the opinions of school managers and the perceptions of teachers, is done with the aim of studying school managers' conflict management styles in terms of some variables. The universe of research consists of teachers and managers working in primary, secondary and secondary schools in the 2014-2015 educational year, Istanbul, Europe, Bahçelievler district. The example consists of 103 managers and 300 teachers working in 41 schools, which are identified by the simple random group sample pathway within this general universe. The study used the "Rahim Organizational Conflict Scale II" in order to determine the Form of Personal Information and Conflict Management styles of managers. The study found that school managers have a very high "compliance" attitude in the management of conflicts, a high "payment" and "compliance" attitude, a high "government" and "evacuation" attitude. According to the teachers’ opinions, the school managers’ attitudes are high, while the attitudes of “government”, “evacuation”, “payment” and “consensus” are high. The study found significant differences between school managers’ “civil state”, “study state” and “professional age” variables and teachers’ “civil state”, “age”, “related institution”, “industrial”, “study state”, “professional age”, “school type”, “management age” and “management gender” variables and school managers’ conflict management styles.
This research is a descriptive study performed with the purpose of examining school administrators’ conflict management styles with respect to school administrators’ views and teachers’ perceptions in term of certain variables. The universe of the research is formed of teachers and principals working in primary, middle, and high schools on the European side of Istanbul province in Bahçelievler District in the 2014-2015 academic year. The sample consists of 103 administrators and 300 teachers working at 41 schools determined from within this general universe using simple random cluster sampling. The research uses a personal information form and the Rahim Organizational conflict inventory for identifying administrators’ conflict management styles. The collected data have been analyzed in the package program SPSS. As a result of the research school administrators have been determined to have very high attitudes on integration, high attitudes on making concessions and compromising, and moderate attitudes on ruling and avoidance. According to the teachers’ views, school administrators have high levels for their attitudes on integration, and medium levels for their attitudes on ruling, avoiding, conceding, and compromising. The research has found significant differences among administrators’ conflict management styles through school administrators’ variables of marital status, educational status, and professional seniority and through teachers’ variables of marital status, age, affiliated institution, branch, educational status, professional seniority, school type, administrator age, and administrator gender.
