The purpose of this study is to attempt to determine types of questions history teachers, history teacher candidates and high school students who have taken 10th grade history course ask devoted to historical thinking with regard to a historical subject. In this study, history teachers, history teacher candidates and high school students who have taken 10th grade history course were requested to create questions about "Development in Europe: Geographical discoveries and the Renaissance" subject which takes place in the 10th grade history textbooks. The questions composed by the participants analyzed in terms of basic concepts of the discipline of history (substantive concepts) and procedural concepts (methodological concepts). At the end of the study it has been revealed that history teachers, history teacher candidates and high school students who have taken 10th grade history course write questions regarding the cause and effect concept which is one of the procedural concepts followed by the questions related to the basic concepts.
