Abstract:

Reasons such as the rapid increase in health needs, the diversification of health systems and the impact of health issues on the developing levels of countries have made health institutions become a more complex organizational structure today. Due to its medical, social, economic and technological elements, the successful management of health institutions that differ from many other organizations has become element and the need for professional health managers has increased. The teaching of courses in the departments of health management established to train professional managers in the field of health is very important for students and institutions in which they will work. The aim of this study is to discover the courses that are frequently repeated in the department curricula of the universities located in the Department of Health Management in Turkey and at least 50% of them are in the curriculum. In this context, the research includes the study of the curriculum found on the websites of the departments of the universities located in the Department of Health Management and the discovery of frequently repeated common courses. As a result, the basic mandatory courses that are frequently repeated in the curricula of health management departments established to meet the need for successful management of health institutions are mainly management courses belonging to the field of economic and administrative sciences, but the university-based curriculum names are not matched.
